nanoCLAMP GFP-A1 is a single domain antibody mimetic recognizing GFP, GFP fusions and GFP-tagged proteins. nanoCLAMP GFP-A1 recognizes GFP, eGFP, Emerald GFP, GFPMut2, and BFP but does not recognize YFP, CFP, mCherry or dsRed. Validated applications include affinity chromatography to purify GFP protein and sandwich ELISA to detect GFP and GFP fusions. nanoCLAMP GFP-A1 anti-GFP beads are useful for GFP purification, GFP immunoprecipitation (IP), GFP pulldown, GFP chromatography and GFP isolation. Like GFP antibodies, GFP nanobodies, and GFP traps, nanoCLAMP GFP-A1 binds GFP tightly and selectively but, unlike these alternatives, nanoCLAMP GFP-A1 releases target protein under gentle conditions in support the purification of functional GFP and GFP-tagged protein complexes.
